A TOAST TO FLORIDITA WITH A DAIQUIRI!
At the age of 200, Floridita is described as the oldest gastronomic business in Cuba and Latin America.
There are no records on the exact date when it first opened its doors, circa 1817. Perhaps nobody imagined that this place, which was born as a simple inn named La Piña de Plata, would become a legend in the cocktail realm.
Nearly a century after its opening, following the establishment of the republic in 1902, its named was changed to “La Florida”. For some reason, the customers later began calling the popular bar “Floridita”, and the name has come to our days.
