The peo­ple of Ba­ya­mo city strongly be­lie­ve that basoco is an ef­fec­ti­ve aph­ro­di­siac and it is al­so fre­quently con­su­med by trip­pers as ener­ge­tic food when they are clim­bing Cu­ba’s hig­hest peak: Tur­quino. The truth is that se­ve­ral peo­ple li­ke basoco. This reality is com­ple­men­ted by the fact that it is ex­tre­mely eco­lo­gi­cal be­cau­se of the bio­de­gra­da­ble cha­rac­te­ris­tics of its wrap­ping.
