What You Get

4 x 4 Australia - - First Drive -

ALL HILUX 4x4 Extra-cabs come with seven airbags, a reversing camera, ESC, A-trac ETC, cruise control, tilt and reach steering wheel adjustment, self-levelling headlights and daytime running lights.

Over and above the Workmate, the SR (as tested here) adds a smooth-side tub, a rear locker, side steps, carpet rather than vinyl floor coverings, driver’s seat height adjustment, premium seat trim, two extra speakers (total four), chrome door handles and Toyota Link.

The SR5 adds smart entry and start, sat-nav, climate control, 18-inch alloys (in place of the Workmate’s and SR’S 17-inch black steelies), LED headlights and DRLS, fog lights, a stainlesssteel sports bar, an additional 12V outlet (as well as a 220V outlet), an Intelligent manual gearbox and lots more chrome.

Six months of decent sales has seen some Hilux models leaving competitors in the dust.
