Kanga Coachlines has added a Volvo Signature Series B11R 3-axle coach with an exclusive high gloss black finish and premier ‘black as night’ window tinting to its fleet.

The vehicle has a Coach Concepts body design, is operated by the Mawson Lakes-based Kanga Coachlines, and has become a favourite of the Adelaide Crows football team.

Kanga Coachlines has more than 30 years’ experience transporting customers throughout South Australia and beyond, and now boasts 45 buses and coaches.

“I wanted to continue to push the limits within the bus and tourism industry,” Kanga Coachlines CEO Julian Roeger says.

“I wanted to do something which was more exciting and innovative than what is usually out there in the market.

“It is pioneering, but I am confident it will work and give passengers an amazing experience,” he says.

“It caters to the high- end touring, global celebrity visits, sporting teams and corporate partners who are needing to travel into Adelaide for big events or work conferences, plus also those based here wanting to travel in comfort, safety and style interstate.”

Seating capacity and floor space adjustability means the internal layout can be customised to suit all needs – just a few seats and loads of room to walk around, or up to 46 leather low-slung Styleride seats.

This coach also contains a kitchenette at the rear.

The Volvo B11R 3-axle chassis has a Volvo I-Shift 12-speed manual gearbox with automatic gear changing system. The I-Shift transmission is factory prepared for installation with or without a compact retarder.

The 11-litre in-line 6-cylinder diesel D11C engine, with turbocharger and intercooler, produces 450hp (332kW) at 1600-1900rpm and 2150Nm 950-1400rpm.

The I-Shift transmission is smart, innovative and adaptive to all terrains and conditions.

It allows users to choose between fully automatic gear changes or manual selection, and has a performance mode with a kick-down function that utilises the engine’s capacity to the maximum.
