Guests will embark on an historical tour of Hobart including a short walking tour of Salamanca Place taking in a number of historical sites including Douglas Mawson’s Hut (the mission base of his Australasian Antarctic Expedition of 1911–14) and the original customs house built in 1840 which is now the meeting place of the Parliament of Tasmania. The tour will also take a drive-through Battery Point, one of Hobart’s earliest settlements which has retained much of its colonial architecture with loads of historical ambiance. Lunch and a guest speaker will be convened at Seagrass on the beach at Sandy Bay. Guests will have the option to stop off at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery for free time.
Tuesday November 14 Coal River Valley 11:00am to 3:00pm Casual
This is a day for some relaxation enjoying superb food and wine at a sixth generation owned Estate. The Estate produces award winning wines along with farming sheep and agricultural crops. The Riversdale Estate invites guests to sink into the magnificent views, the Cellar Door for wine tasting, and lunch at a superb French Restaurant. This is a day carefully designed to give guests a warm and unforgettable experience.
