Livestock opportunity

AgLife - - News -

While grain production dominates much of the agricultural land across the region, livestock remains an integral part of the broadacre farming scene.

Much of the region was opened by pioneering farmers for its ability to provide pasture for sheep, which helped form the bedrock of Australian wealth and prosperity. It is a fact far from lost on the Wimmera Machinery Field Days committee, which has an exclusive Livestock Block at this year’s event.

The Livestock Block features leading examples from sheep studs in the region along with professional reared and trained working dogs demonstrating their skills.

The Livestock Block provides farm-animal producers with an opportunity to meet industry experts to discuss everything from handling equipment to health management and professional breeding.
