The Little Grove Art Group has selected an impressive range of work to showcase as part of the Southern Art and Craft Trail this year.

Celebrating the diverse range of talents and artistic skills in the group, everything from paintings, books and cards to pottery and ceramic pieces is on display.

The group is exhibiting for the third time in the trail. A spokesperson for the group of 15 members said the opening night on September 16 was attended by many.

“It was a great success where enthusiastic and even excited visitors spoke of their appreciation for a lovely, well-presented colourful show,” they said.

“The Southern Art Trail offers a wonderful opportunity for our artists and craftspeople to display their work in an exhibition — the 78 venues are testament to their enthusiasm for this event.”

Newcomers are welcome to join the art group, meeting every Wednesday at the South Coast Progress Hall on Bay View Road at 9am.

“Everyone works on their own projects — there is no art tutor, but mutual help and advice is always at hand,” the group said.

The artwork is also on show at the South Coast Progress Hall from 10am to 3pm on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until October 8.

The Little Grove Art Group is Venue 51 in the Southern Art and Craft Trail Guidebook.
