Car boot sale to benefit hospice
Glenda and Malcolm Parsons are holding a car boot sale at the Elleker General Store and Tavern, with all proceeds going to the Albany Community Hospice.
Woodwork, metalwork, craft, plants, household items and special novelties will be for sale to the public on Saturday, October 28.
Mrs Parsons said the hospice provided outstanding services that helped people in their times of need.
“My brother was in the Albany Community Hospice for four weeks before he passed away,” she said.
“The care and help given not only to him but the entire family was incredible and nothing was too much trouble.
“This is to raise money for an organisation that benefits the entire Albany and surrounds.”
There will also be a sausage sizzle and DJ performance by Rod Nation who has generously donated his time and equipment. “People can become involved by booking a stall or coming along to support the event,” Mrs Parsons said.
The Albany Community Hospice is a not-for-profit organisation and has operated for more than 25 years.
More stallholders are welcomed to join and bookings can be made by contacting the Elleker General Store and Tavern on 9844 6367 or by visiting 1309 Lower Denmark Road, Elleker.
The car boot sale opens at 8am and the $10 stall fee will be donated directly to the hospice.
