The National Anzac Centre, the Lake House in Denmark and the City of Albany were among many businesses to take home WA Tourism awards on Saturday night.

The best of tourism in Western Australian was celebrated on Saturday at the 2017 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards Gala Dinner with 29 gold medals and two individual accolades awarded to industry leaders at Crown Perth.

The awards showcase the best in the industry and are judged on outstanding customer service, innovation and ongoing business excellence.

Tourism Council WA chief executive Evan Hall said each and every year the awards were contended by high-calibre and industry-leading businesses who dedicated their lives to showcasing the State to visitors.

“Everyone who enters the awards is passionate about offering amazing experiences to our visitors and we continue to see great diversity among the businesses and individuals who enter the awards, and ultimately take home the medals, each year,” he said.

“The awards program has a long-held history of recognising the great quality among our tourism operators, which it has done now for 45 years.”
