Ruby Robertson, a courageous seven-year-old who touched many hearts in the community, died last week.

Ruby was also born with her small intestine not connected, requiring multiple surgeries to repair.

Ruby’s parents Tamara Drew and James Robertson announced her death on the Team Ruby public Facebook page last week.

“Ruby gained her angel wings this afternoon, surrounded and supported at hospice,” they wrote.

“She is beautiful and at peace, she may rest and no longer have to suffer.

“James and I want to send our love out to you all.” Ruby’s school Albany Primary School said she was a much loved student who always shared her passion for The Wiggles.

“Her determination to continue to attend school, entertain all with singing the school song and her infectious personality will continue to touch the hearts of the entire staff, students and school community for many moons to come,” principal Jayde Hewson wrote.

A service for Ruby is being planned for Monday, November 5 at Amity Rose funeral directors at 10.30am, to then progress to Eyre Park for a play and a party.
