Elleker rings in phone cover changes

Mo­bile phone users in Elleker and 13 other sites in the Great South­ern should get bet­ter cov­er­age thanks to im­prove­ments to Tel­stra’s network.

The sites, in­clud­ing Badge­bup, Arm­strong Road-Bosca­bel, Sturry Road-Cran­brook, Windy Har­bour, Jacup, Noobi­jup, West River, Scad­den West, Ten­ter­den, Woo­genellup, Raven­sthorpe West and Beau­mont, were tar­geted un­der the Mo­bile Black Spot Pro­gram.

Tel­stra and rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the Fed­eral, State and lo­cal gov­ern­ments vis­ited Elleker on Fri­day to mark the up­grades.

The sites are among 183 mo­bile phone cov­er­age black spots across re­gional and ru­ral WA that now have ex­panded 3G/4G cov­er­age pro­vided by Tel­stra through the Fed­eral Gov­ern­ment pro­gram.
