Suspicious house fire triggers arson quiz
The police arson squad is calling for information on a suspicious fire which gutted an Orana home on Tuesday morning, resulting in an estimated damage bill of $100,000.
Police are investigating a suspicious house fire in Orana that happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Fire crews received a phone call at 1.30am to attend the fire on Canning Street.
Three fire crews attended the scene and managed to extinguish the fire by 2.15am.
Police said no one was home at the time of the fire.
The damage bill is estimated at $100,000. Detective Sergeant Kris McDonald said police were looking into all lines of inquiry and had spoken to people who had assisted with the investigation.
WA Police’s arson squad also attended the crime scene to conduct more forensic investigations.
