Mt Baw Baw Alpine Power of 10

NOT ev­ery­one skis, so at Mt Baw Baw this sea­son there will be 10 daily ac­tiv­i­ties on of­fer for both chil­dren and adults that can be en­joyed ski free.

A taste of some of the new and ex­cit­ing ac­tiv­i­ties are listed be­low:

Frosty Flicks - weekly open air cinema in the Mar­ket­place fea­tur­ing short movies with hot beverages and themed food.

Light & Sound laser shows - fresh snow glis­tens un­der laser lights dur­ing the evenings, cre­at­ing a unique at­mos­phere and alpine ex­pe­ri­ence.

Pho­tog­ra­phy hikes - slip on a pair of snow­shoes and snap a few shots of stun­ning snow gum forests, abun­dant wildlife while en­joy­ing the peace and quiet of freshly fallen snow.

Snow­shoe to the sum­mit - snow­shoe with no ski­ing skills re­quired, if you can walk, you can snow shoe.

Where is Frosty the Frog? Chil­dren will en­joy themed ed­u­ca­tional en­vi­ron­men­tal walks where a guide will en­cour­age ex­plo­ration of the alpine en­vi­ron­ment.

Snow sculpt­ing - get cre­ative and learn how to snow sculpt in a fun and re­laxed en­vi­ron­ment.

Snow bik­ing - with pro­fes­sional moun­tain bik­ing in­struc­tors res­i­dent on the moun­tain the per­fect op­por­tu­nity ex­ists to try an adren­a­line filled ac­tiv­ity un­der the guid­ance of the ex­cel­lent in­struc­tors.

Fur­ther en­hanc­ing the ex­pe­ri­ence of guests to the moun­tain in 2015, vis­i­tors to the alpine vil­lage will be wel­comed im­me­di­ately upon ar­rival, at the vil­lage gates with ac­cess to guest ser­vices and ski hire.

The in­te­gra­tion of the guest in­for­ma­tion cen­tre and ski hire will en­sure seam­less ser­vice with vis­i­tors on the slopes quicker and more com­fort­able than ever.

Baw Baw is also keep­ing chil­dren happy with the launch of a new snow play park lo­cated right in the heart of the vil­lage.

The park will en­cour­age snow play ac­tiv­ity with equip­ment in­clud­ing igloos, ice sculp­tures and frozen themed ac­tiv­i­ties.

Frosty the Frog, Mt Baw Baw’s mas­cots will lead the fun on week­ends as he ski­doos through the Vil­lage, oc­ca­sion­ally with the howl­ing huskys sled dog team pro­vid­ing fam­i­lies with mem­o­rable photo op­por­tu­ni­ties.

Baw Baw is also happy to an­nounce that the ‘howl­ing huskys sled dog’ team will be on the moun­tain ev­ery day of the 2015 win­ter sea­son.

Vis­i­tors are en­cour­aged to en­joy the back­coun­try trails of Mt Baw Baw by dog sled.

Vis­i­tors can ex­pe­ri­ence the thrill of a dog sled ride with the pulling power of eight highly trained dogs and their musher, while chil­dren will be en­chanted by the ex­pe­ri­ence of a snow shoe tour with ex­pe­ri­enced husky lead­ers.
