Ski the world with Thredbo ‘Moun­tain Col­lec­tive’ pass

IN A South­ern Hemi­sphere ski sea­son first, Thredbo Re­sort and New Zealand’s re­sorts (NZSki) of Coronet Peak and The Re­mark­ables in Queen­stown, plus Mt Hutt near Christchurch, are now con­nected by one in­clu­sive lift pass, as NZSki be­comes the new­est mem­ber of The Moun­tain Col­lec­tive.

The Moun­tain Col­lec­tive is an un­prece­dented col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween the world’s best in­de­pen­dent ski des­ti­na­tions in Canada, USA, Europe, Ja­pan, South Amer­ica, Aus­tralia and now New Zealand.

The ad­di­tion of New Zealand will pro­vide lo­cal skiers and rid­ers with the best lift pass sav­ings in the South­ern Hemi­sphere by con­nect­ing Thredbo, Coronet Peak, The Re­mark­ables and Mt Hutt on one sin­gle pass.

Moun­tain Col­lec­tive mem­ber re­sorts in­clude: Aspen Snow­mass, Jack­son Hole, Sun Val­ley, Al­taSnow­bird, Mam­moth, Stowe, Squaw Val­ley Alpine Mead­ows and Taos in Amer­ica. While Ski Banff-Lake Louise-Sun­shine Vil­lage and Whistler Black­comb make up the Cana­dian mem­ber re­sorts.

There are also three Moun­tain Col­lec­tive af­fil­i­ate re­sorts in­clud­ing: Hakuba Val­ley in Ja­pan, Cha­monix Mont-Blanc in France and Valle Ne­vado in Chile.

Ex­ist­ing pre­mium sea­son pass hold­ers at Thredbo can now en­joy the ben­e­fit of a 50 per cent dis­count on sin­gle day lift passes at all full mem­ber Moun­tain Col­lec­tive re­sorts in North Amer­ica and re­sorts in New Zealand.

In ad­di­tion to the ben­e­fits for Thredbo sea­son pass hold­ers there is also a Moun­tain Col­lec­tive pass, which will al­low Aus­tralian and New Zealand skiers and board­ers to ride two days ski­ing at ev­ery other Moun­tain Col­lec­tive re­sort around the globe - that’s 30 days of ski­ing all on one pass, in­clud­ing two days in Thredbo and two days at ei­ther of the NZSki ar­eas.

Snow­play­ers are also be­ing looked af­ter at Thredbo this year with the re­sort giv­ing peo­ple of all ages the op­por­tu­nity to ex­pe­ri­ence the snow with­out hav­ing to step into a pair of skis in the ded­i­cated Snow Play Park.

Con­tin­u­ing the ini­tia­tive of in­tro­duc­ing more peo­ple to the snow, the Thredbo Snow Play Park, gives snow lovers the op­por­tu­nity to frolic, roll around and throw a snow­ball or two.

The park is lo­cated in the vil­lage, at the Val­ley Ter­mi­nal base sta­tion area and it will be open daily this win­ter.
