Lake Moun­tain: en­cour­ag­ing kids to get into snow sports

LAKE Moun­tain Alpine Re­sort’s Bur­ton Riglet Park is back again this year big­ger than ever and will pro­vide kids aged three to six years with the op­por­tu­nity to try out snow­board­ing in a safe and en­cour­ag­ing en­vi­ron­ment.

With one-on-one tu­tor­ing from ex­pe­ri­enced snow sports in­struc­tors, these mini shred­ders will find suc­cess in no time.

Lessons run for half an hour and in­clude equip­ment hire (boots, snow­board and hel­met) and prices are just $25 per child.

Lake Moun­tain is also known for their cross-coun­try (XC) ski­ing and the Fis­cher Nordic Fun Park is de­signed for kids aged four to 12 years old to try XC ski­ing and the in­tro­duc­tory lessons in the park are all about get­ting a pair of skis on and hav­ing fun on the snow.

The friendly team of ski in­struc­tors demon­strate the ba­sics of cross-coun­try ski­ing and then get ev­ery­one in­volved in fun ways to im­prove their skills. Half hour lessons run through­out the day and in­clude ski equip­ment hire (boots and skis) and are just $25 per child.
