New at Falls Creek in 2017
FALLS Creek has seen a large amount of private investment at the resort over the summer months including major renovations at iconic properties Astra Lodge and Elk at Falls.
Disabled Wintersports Australia, in partnership with the YMCA has built a purpose built facility at Howmans Gap over the summer months.
The state-of-the-art centre has 36 beds, which will ensure that participants of all abilities can get out and challenge themselves on Victoria’s ski fields.
The development which will open in July was made possible thanks to a $3.1 million Andrews Labor Government investment and the special lodgings will be Australia’s first fully accessible alpine accommodation.
Falls Creek are making private ski and snowboard lessons available to book online, which will allow for a seamless booking process for guests who take up these lessons.
Every Tuesday evening during July and August the Kids Street party with Pete the Dragon will be held in the Village Bowl which is great kids fun with the resort’s popular mascot.
The whole family is being looked after on the slopes at Falls with the all new ‘Parent Pass’. This pass will now make it even easier to take little ones to the snow with the new pass enabling parent number two the ability to purchase a three hour pass for $69 along with either a full day or half day lift pass. The lift passes must be purchased and used on the same day and this pass will allow parent number two some ski time for the duration of a kids’ snow sports school program or lesson without buying a full day pass.
There’s also new artwork among the scenery at Falls Creek with the commissioning of the “Big Fella” artwork piece. This piece adorns the side of a 14 metre tall water-settling tank and will be visible to visitors as they ski past.
