HAVE you ever wanted to do your own snow safari, well the team at Mogul Ski World have access to the best deals and offer the following as a dream snow holiday/road trip as a suggestion for the ultimate powder escape.

Why not ski and board the resorts of Aspen, Telluride and Jackson Hole in the USA and then head north to Canada and check out Lake Louise in Banff and Revelstoke.

All of these resorts boast big reputations and they back it up with everything you may desire from a snow road trip.

First up is Aspen which has always been considered one of the world’s top class resorts, and on everyone’s bucket list. Originally a mining town, Aspen began attracting recreational skiers after the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. Comprised of four mountains; Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass, all are accessible on the one lift pass, making it one of the largest combined ski areas in North America.

The skiing is varied and can suit any level of skier as each mountain has its own character with endless groomed runs, powder bowls, steep runs and plenty of trees. Add to this one of the most vibrant towns in Colorado and you have it all.

Next stop visit Telluride with its wonderful Victorian mining town and 14,000 peaks welcoming you to its valley. Situated in the southwest of Colorado and delivering miles of uncrowded slopes and diverse terrain, you will be in Colorado heaven. Suitable for all standards of snow enthusiasts, you may never want to leave.

Now travel to Wyoming and visit the resort of Jackson Hole, an area offering 2,500 acres of skiable terrain and the biggest vertical drop in America. Few mountains live up to their reputation but Jackson Hole is one of them. You will know that this resort gives you everything you came for – deep snow, breathtaking views, uncrowded slopes and Wild West fun. Set amongst the scenic Grand Tetons, this area offers not just skiing but a complete winter holiday.

This is cowboy country and Jackson has an abundance of snow and the keen skier and snowboarder has a choice of terrain including bowls and chutes for the experts and it also offers a great mix of terrain for intermediate and beginners alike. Get to Jackson and ride the famous aerial tram and join in this fantastic snow playground. Whilst riding the tram watch the double black skiers attempt Corbet’s Couloir, which is always a spectacle.

After your USA leg, fly north to Calgary in Canada and be blown away by the scenery of Banff, which is one of the best Canadian ski towns. Lake Louise near Banff has without doubt some of the best scenic skiing in Canada, but don’t let the Canadian Rockies dominate your stay, as it is a huge resort with endless terrain. It offers fantastic skiing and boarding with beginner, intermediate and advanced runs off all lifts.

From Lake Louise drive to Revelstoke, which is nestled in the south east of British Columbia and boasts some impressive numbers and light, dry ‘Selkirk Range’ powder. Revelstoke has the biggest vertical drop in North America, coming in at a whopping 1,713 metres off lift-accessed terrain. With four high alpine bowls, 3,121 acres of fall line skiing and 69 named runs, all your options are well and truly covered here.
