Mudgegonga Hall renews its team
THE Mudgegonga Hall Committee has announced its new leadership team to manage the valley’s modern community hub.
The Committee, elected under the guidance of Alpine Shire councillor John Forsythe, is: chair - Coral Love, secretary - Julie Carter, treasurer - Henry Brewer and members Neil Hodge, Terry Karis, Mandy Shepherd, Debbi Rigoni, Rose McIlroy and Annette Maloy.
The team will build on the successes of the outgoing committees three year term.
New Chair Coral Love thanked her predecessor Henry Brewer and committee members for their service to the community.
Major projects included a power upgrade and the installation of heating/cooling units.
A wood and glass-fronted cabinet was commissioned to display Mudgegonga’s community quilt and the recent dinner dance was an outstanding success.
Les Brown stepped down from the committee after almost 30 years of service.
Les held the role of president for 12 years and he coordinated both a major hall upgrade in 1998 and the completion of a new car park in 2011 and was duly thanked him for his significant contributions.
Appreciation was also passed on to outgoing members - Andrew Milford for six years of service and secretarial role and Trish Hodge, who left in 2016, for eight years of service and secretarial and treasurer support.
The Mudgegonga Hall is complete with modern air-conditioning, heating and a commercial kitchen and is available for hire.
