Red Cross brightens fashion scene
Upgrade your wardrobe while helping others
FASHION, food and fundraising. The three will all be present at the Bright Red Cross Blumes Fashion Show and Morning Tea next week.
The bi- annual event is one of the best fundraisers for Red Cross and also allows older women within the community, who might find it difficult to get out of town to shop, the chance to upgrade their wardrobe.
Blumes is Australia’s leading mobile women’s clothing retailer and has partnered with Red Cross in Bright to stage the fashion show since it started.
“We have been doing it for more than 20 years,” Bright Red Cross president Nola West said.
“It’s our way of helping the ladies buy some new clothes and to raise money for Red Cross.
“Many of the women who come along are regular attendees and enjoy the social aspect of the show as much as the fashions.
“We put on a delicious morning tea while there’s also raffle prizes and lucky door prizes to be won and vouchers to be used on the day.”
Money raised from the day goes to supporting numerous Red Cross projects here and abroad.
A huge range of garments will be on display and ladies will have the opportunity to try clothes on prior to purchasing them.
The Blumes Fashion Show and Morning Tea will be held at the Bright Bowls Club on Thursday, October 19, from 10am.
Entry is $ 5.
FUNDRAISING FUN: Nola West and Norma Torriero hope to see a big crowd at Bright Red Cross branch’s upcoming fashion show and morning tea.
