Har­ri­etville Pri­mary School stu­dents re­cently took part in this year’s ‘Walk to school’ pro­gram, an ini­tia­tive to en­cour­age chil­dren to learn healthy habits and achieve are com­mended 60 min­utes of daily phys­i­cal ac­tiv­ity. Two sep­a­rate walk­ing ‘school buses’ met up on Great Alpine Road to form one big walk­ing ‘school bus’. The school re­ceived funds from Alpine Shire Coun­cil and a grant from Vic Health to help de­liver a bike ed­u­ca­tion ses­sion, healthy break­fast and to pur­chase new sports equip­ment.
