MYRTLEFORD’S junior tennis competition concluded two weeks ago with some entertaining final round matches.

The section one final between Red and Blue saw Red enjoy a strong win with Liam Morgan, Bonnie Benson and Giordana Genero dropping just one set to take the title over Kyran Hagens, Lily Cuskelly and Hannah Pear.

In the other matches White defeated Orange five sets to one with George Whitford the only player to hold his three sets.

Green also had a narrow two-game win over Yellow in which Alex Salmon was the only three-set winner in the contest.

In section two, the aggregate was completed, and the overall winner was Charlie Benson ahead of Harrison Korb.

Presentations for the junior competition followed play and awards were given to Liam Morgan, Jacob West and George Whitford for their consistent play on their line.

The Most Improved Award was presented to Matilda Knobel and Maddison Geddes received the Etiquette Award.

Well done to all players in both section one and two.
