PLANS for this year’s La Fiera in Myrtleford are all but locked in ahead of the festival’s 10th year.

The celebration of Italian culture will begin on Tuesday, May 15 and run through to Sunday, May 20 marking its decade-long milestone.

The festival will again include various special events to go with the copious amounts of delicious Italian food and wine along with expanded children’s activities.

Saturday will again be the peak activity day with the Food and Wine Festa to be held in the Piazza as live musical performances entertain the crowd.

Among the children activities at Jubilee Park will be free face painting, balloon animals, children’s activity tent, harlequin puppet show and a photo booth.

Myrtleford Savoy will again play Wangaratta for the La Fiera Cup on the Sunday afternoon.

La Fiera spokesman John Costenaro said the festival was continuing to grow every year and was becoming one event in the North East not to be missed.

“La Fiera is proud to once again develop a program of events that will delight everyone,” he said.

“Each year our festival grows and becomes more exciting.

“We have a wonderful range of entertainment.”

A major fundraiser for the event will take place on Sunday, February 25 with a smorgasbord dinner being held at Club Savoy.
