THE PERCENTAGE DROP IN NEW OFFICE 365 SUBSCRIPTI­ONS THAT MICROSOFT EXPERIENCE­D IN 2016. Microsoft recently announced that the subscripti­ons to the company’s productivi­ty suite had reached nearly 25 million. But according to the numbers crunched in the four years since the launch of Office 365, new subscriber­s were hard to find in 2016, having dropped by 62% in comparison with the previous year. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that the Microsoft suite attracted only 4.3 million new subscriber­s in 2016 (compared to 11.4 million in 2015), but revenue from the consumer-related Office products had increased by 22%.
