LinkedIn banned in Russia
SERVICE DOESN’T COMPLY WITH COUNTRY’S DATA LEGISLATION.
In 2014, Russia passed a law requiring the online personal information of its citizens to be stored exclusively within the country’s borders. US-based professional online network LinkedIn had been blocked via web access in November 2016, but now the iOS and Android versions of the app have been pulled from their respective stores, making access impossible. While many see this as the Government keeping tabs on its citizens, the parliament claims it’s in response to allegations of US spying and security concerns.
