Hackers are now hiding malware in subtitle files

Cyberattacks come in all forms — now hidden within subtitles files of videos played on vulnerable media players. It’s recently been reported that hackers are embedding code in subtitled pirated movies and TV shows, files which are often overlooked by users. Fortunately, most of the popular media players like VLC, Kodi and Popcorn Time have set up fixes to combat the issue and users have been encouraged to update their media players. SS
