Skimcast

For those so busy they need help skimming. FREE | WWW.SKIMCAST.COM

-

Nowadays, being busy is a competition. If you’re seen to be not-very-busy, then you’re either a failure or a bludger. You shouldn’t dare do anything leisurely while people are looking, but in the event that you do get caught out say, reading the news, at least be using Skimcast. You see, Skimcast automatically cuts down internet content using some nodoubt foolproof algorithm, meaning all the less important parts of articles will be removed from your so-busy-theycould-cry eyes. For example, if I wanted to read the New York Times’ report on Donald Trump’s sacking of FBI director James Comey, it’d be possible to do it 30% quicker with Skimcast (which is exactly 1,173 words shorter). It’s fine that Skimcast exists, and it seems to work OK for the most part, assuming you trust an app to decide what is and is not important. It’s just weird that anyone would need to use this. Usually, an article is a certain length because it needs to be, OK? Maybe take a deep breath and do something nice for yourself for once.
