Kaspersky banned by US Government amid unsubstantiated spying rumours

APC Australia - - Technotes -

The US General Services Administration has taken Kaspersky Labs cybersecurity software off its list of approved vendors, essentially making it much trickier for certain government services to install the software, with the intention of discouraging the use of the Russianbased product. This is in direct response to unsubstantiated claims that the company is connected with the Russian Government and uses its software to spy on US citizens. Kaspersky has hit back, stating that “it has no ties to any government”. HD
