AMOUNT OF MONEY CANADA IS SPENDING TO TEACH KIDS TO CODE Canadian officials have recently announced that the government will spend $50 million AUD funding a new a initiative that aims to teach kids to code. This program, titled CanCode, plans to dish out the money to certified non-profit organisations that will ideally help over half a million Canadian children (from kindergarten up) to learn digital skills. The country’s Minister of Innovation thinks this will “teach young people how to work as a team to solve difficult problems in creative ways” and help produce “the next great innovators and entrepreneurs”.
