A study pub­lished in Ed­u­ca­tional Psy­chol­ogy jour­nal has con­firmed the some­what un­sur­pris­ing con­clu­sion that the class­room use of dig­i­tal de­vices for non-aca­demic pur­poses will neg­a­tively in­flu­ence stu­dent per­for­mance. The study found that stu­dents who were in class­rooms al­low­ing the use of de­vices (even if they didn’t use one them­selves) dis­played a 5% drop in marks in the sub­ject’s fi­nal exam. HD
