Some un­con­ven­tional guests are check­ing in to Syd­ney’s Es­tab­lish­ment Ho­tel from 6 to 9 Septem­ber. ‘Spring. 1883’ is an art fair that favours in­ti­mate and ec­cen­tric in­te­ri­ors, re­leas­ing con­tem­po­rary art from the ‘tyranny’ of the white box; founded by Mel­bourne gal­lerists Ge­off New­ton, Neon Parc, Vikki McInnes and Kate Bar­ber of Sarah Scout Pre­sents and art ad­vi­sor Vasili Kal­i­man. In ad­di­tion to the se­lect 24 gal­leries from the re­gion, New Zealand and New York, view­ers will dis­cover per­for­mance and in­stal­la­tion from Heather B Swann and Eve Arm­strong.
