Gar­den guru brings green tid­ings

Gar­den guru and Curtin Ra­dio reg­u­lar Matthew Lunn will head to the South West this month to talk about horticulture and im­part some of the wis­dom gath­ered from his three decades of gar­den­ing ex­pe­ri­ence.

Orig­i­nally from South Lon­don where his pas­sion for horticulture took root, Lunn has spent about 30 years cre­at­ing and writ­ing about gar­dens in Perth as a cu­ra­tor at Curtin Uni­ver­sity and the Uni­ver­sity of WA.

The re­cently-ap­pointed Nursery and Gar­den In­dus­try WA chief ex­ec­u­tive also held a weekly gar­den­ing show on Curtin Ra­dio for 16 years, dol­ing out gar­den­ing ad­vice and shar­ing his pas­sion.

Lunn will visit Cowaramup on Mon­day, Fe­bru­ary 13, to speak to mem­bers of the Mediter­ranean So­ci­ety of WA.

Among the top­ics to be dis­cussed in the morn­ing ses­sion will be Lunn’s hor­ti­cul­tural ca­reer and the gar­dens and peo­ple who have in­flu­enced his jour­ney. There will also be a master­class in land­scape de­sign and wa­ter-wise prac­tices af­ter lunch.
