Man in­jured in crash

An 80-year-old Ersk­ine man was flown to Royal Perth Hos­pi­tal on Mon­day af­ter a two-car crash in Cowaramup.

Mar­garet River Po­lice Sergeant Brett Cas­sidy said a 23-year-old Abbey woman in a sil­ver Toy­ota hatch­back pulled out of the Mar­garet River Dairy Com­pany onto Bus­sell High­way near Love­joy Road and hit a red Kia hatch­back trav­el­ling south.

Sgt Cas­sidy said the male driver was flown to hos­pi­tal with pos­si­ble frac­tured ribs, while his 70year-old pas­sen­ger and the other driver were taken to Mar­garet River Hos­pi­tal with mi­nor in­juries.

Am­bu­lance and Mar­garet River Vol­un­teer Fire and Res­cue Ser­vice crews were called to the crash about 2.45pm.

Sgt Cas­sidy urged any­one with in­for­ma­tion about the crash to con­tact Mar­garet River Po­lice on 9757 2222.
