Two charged over break-in
Margaret River police charged two people from Busselton with aggravated burglary earlier this week after they allegedly broke into a business and made off with the safe and about $1300 in cash.
In the early hours of Sunday, police stopped and searched a vehicle at Rotary Park in Margaret River.
They allege three men broke into Tyrepower on Burton Road about 12.30am and took off with a float of $300 and a safe, which contained about $1000.
Officer-in-charge Sergeant Brett Cassidy said a 23-year-old man was apprehended on the night and two others ran away.
A juvenile was later charged with aggravated burglary and police are on the lookout for the other person they believe was involved.
The two accused will appear in Margaret River Magistrate’s Court next week.
