Cre­ativ­ity is in full bloom

Augusta Margaret River Times - - Times New - Chloe Fraser En­vi­ron­men­tal bi­ol­o­gist Johnny Pre­fumo will at­tend the fes­ti­val.

Nan­nup will blos­som next month, burst­ing with colour and cre­ative ideas when the Nan­nup Flower and Gar­den Fes­ti­val is held from Au­gust 17- 20.

This year’s fes­ti­val theme Save the Planet One Bee at a Time, seeks to the spread the mes­sage of sus­tain­abil­ity and the im­por­tance of liv­ing-gar­den sanc­tu­ar­ies in car­ing for the planet.

The­fes­ti­val will run a host of demon­stra­tions on how to gen­er­ate bio-fuel from plant waste and ad­vice on how to keep gar­dens look­ing at­trac­tive and pro­duc­tive at the same time.

Gelorup-based en­vi­ron­men­tal bi­ol­o­gist Johnny Pre­fumo is among the guests to at­tend the fes­ti­val.

Pre­fumo — also known as The Frog Doc­tor — will talk about the im­por­tance of frogs and habi­tat gar­dens as a barom­e­ter to a healthy en­vi­ron­ment.
