Agreement bolsters voice
Capes Region Business Network was officially launched last week, with the five groups involved signing a memorandum of understanding.
The collaboration involves the Augusta, Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup and Margaret River chambers of commerce and the Cowaramup Retailers Association, which have come together to increase dialogue between the organisations, with retired South West MLC Barry House chairing the new partnership.
The MOU was signed at a chamber event last week, with Regional CCIWA chief executive Kitty Prodonovich also speaking. Ms Prodonovich said the collaboration would be beneficial for the region.
“There is no doubt that wherever there is collaboration between chambers of commerce and industry groups in regional Western Australia, the benefits to local businesses is significantly increased,” she said.
“Local and State governments are appreciative of collaborative group representations.”
