Ju­nior hockey play­ers came to­gether last Sun­day night to cel­e­brate the end of the sea­son and name Bus­sel­ton Hockey As­so­ci­a­tion’s best play­ers.

The Brownlow-style count took place at Bus­sel­ton Hockey Sta­dium for the sec­ond year, with Cava­liers White player Amelia Sin­gle­ton awarded fairest and best girl for the 9-12 group.

The fairest and best boys’ award was ac­cepted by Mar­garet River player Conor Cal­low, who also re­ceived the Just Hockey ju­nior hockey per­son award.

The girls’ Just Hockey ju­nior hockey per­son award went to Asha Alt­man, while Cor­mack Smith re­ceived the ris­ing coach award.

This week­end, teams will bat­tle it out for the premier­ship ti­tle.

Coun­trys will en­ter the grand fi­nal for the fourth year in a row, with all three teams mak­ing the week­end’s fi­nals.

The team will take on Capel in the Year 9-12 com­pe­ti­tion in Bus­sel­ton tonight and will meet Wests in the Year 6-8 com­pe­ti­tion grand fi­nal to­mor­row morn­ing.

Mar­garet River play­ers Kate Mann, 16, Ash­lee Jarvis, 13 and Am­ber­lee Brown, 13.
