Celebration to kick off skate park’s makeover
Skate enthusiasts will say “adios” to the Margaret River Skate Park on Friday, October 6, before it closes for redevelopment.
The Adios Skate Park Fiesta will be a celebration of the park’s contribution to the community.
The park will be closed from October until the new Margaret River Youth Precinct opens next year.
The Mexican-themed event will feature live music by DJ Private Pickle, food stalls, photo booths, a nacho-eating competition and a Skateboarding WA competition.
Shire of Augusta-Margaret River community development trainee Callum Noone said he enjoyed working on the new skate park’s design concept.
The fiesta starts at 4pm.
Callum Noone, Seb Messenger, 12, Joe Ryan, 12, Lenny Moore, 12, and Roly Moore, 10, will all be at the Adios Skate Park Fiesta.
