Cel­e­bra­tion to kick off skate park’s makeover

Skate en­thu­si­asts will say “adios” to the Mar­garet River Skate Park on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 6, be­fore it closes for rede­vel­op­ment.

The Adios Skate Park Fiesta will be a cel­e­bra­tion of the park’s con­tri­bu­tion to the com­mu­nity.

The park will be closed from Oc­to­ber un­til the new Mar­garet River Youth Precinct opens next year.

The Mex­i­can-themed event will fea­ture live mu­sic by DJ Pri­vate Pickle, food stalls, photo booths, a na­cho-eat­ing com­pe­ti­tion and a Skate­board­ing WA com­pe­ti­tion.

Shire of Au­gusta-Mar­garet River com­mu­nity devel­op­ment trainee Cal­lum Noone said he en­joyed work­ing on the new skate park’s de­sign con­cept.

The fiesta starts at 4pm.
