Es­capists to dine with food’s big guns

US-based Aus­tralian chef and food per­son­al­ity Cur­tis Stone will join res­i­dents for lunch at the Mar­garet River TAFE to kick­start Novem­ber’s Mar­garet River Gourmet Es­cape.

About 200 peo­ple will have the chance to join Stone on Thurs- day, Novem­ber 16 for lunch, hosted by WA me­dia per­son­al­ity Anna Gare.

The day will in­clude a cook­ing demon­stra­tion by Stone, pre­vi­ously named Los An­ge­les chef of the year, be­fore a lunch served by TAFE cook­ery stu­dents, led by com­mer­cial cook­ery lec­turer Amanda Smith.

Res­i­dents from Mar­garet River and sur­rounds will also be given free en­try to the fes­ti­val hub at Leeuwin Es­tate on Sun­day. Pr­ereg­is­tra­tion is re­quired at gour­per­local.
