Margaret River golfer Nick Liebenberg has scored a place at the South West Academy of Sport in Bunbury.

Nick, 17, recently signed up to the academy’s golf squad to pursue a career as a professional golfer.

The Margaret River Senior High School student, already a member of the Bunbury men’s pennant team, said the extra support offered by SWAS would help his development.

“I think that with assistance from some of the services and facilities offered by SWAS, I will be able to get my game to the next level,” he said.

The SWAS golf squad, which boasts former pro golfer Shani Waugh as one of its coaches, forms part of a path- way to higher representative levels in the sport.
