Weekend pleases cops
Margaret River police said they had an easier long weekend than expected. Police conducted 345 random breath tests over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend with only one reading over the limit.
A Margaret River woman was stopped on Bussell Highway near Walkington Avenue at 12.20am on Monday. The woman blew a reading of 0.158 and will appear in court next month.
Officers said although it was a busy weekend with bad weather, they were pleased with the low level of offences.
