Aussie break­fast in the park

Augusta Margaret River Times - - Front Page - Therese Col­man Perth’s Vikki and Joel Strick­land en­joyed their visit down south for the Aus­tralia Day week­end.

Cowaramup Lions Club hosted an Aus­tralia Day break­fast on Fri­day, with more than 650 peo­ple at­tend­ing the event at Pi­o­neer Park.

Mar­garet River Scouts raised the flag and Cowaramup Lions Club pres­i­dent Rod Dowsett awarded John Hart­ley the Col Dug­gan cit­i­zen­ship award.

Shire of Au­gusta-Mar­garet River pres­i­dent Pam Townsend of­fi­ci­ated the cit­i­zen­ship cer­e­mony and Lisa De­bus be­came Cowaramup’s new­est Aus­tralian cit­i­zen.

Break­fast or­gan­iser Don Miller said the morn­ing was a fan­tas­tic suc­cess and the out­come of the day was more than he had hoped for.
