Tourism stance welcomed
It was very heartening to see the Busselton City Council has adopted a firmer stand on the use of the region’s tourism branding.
Too often we have seen the “Margaret River Region” brand presented without any mention of Busselton at all.
I remember walking into our new Railway House and seeing the staff wearing the Margaret River Region badges.
I asked why was there no mention of Busselton on their badge when this was, in fact, in Busselton.
They didn’t know — it wasn’t their doing, l know. The Margaret River-Busselton Tourism Association feels there are only a few people unhappy with the current branding.
The trouble with putting you head in the sand is the view other people get to see of you.
