Students take over Settlers Tavern

Augusta Margaret River Times - - Front Page -

Young rock stars of the future from Margaret River Primary School played their hearts out at Settlers Tavern on Wednesday night.

Supported by rock-band mentors Tony Lane, Graeme Smailes, Mike Goodwin and Emma Holben, bands like Black Lightning and the Skele-Tones thrilled parents and passersby alike as the school took over the Tav from 5pm.

The gig raised funds for the school’s music program, co-ordinated by head of music Helen Collis. About $1200 was raised, as well as a few extras, with Rob and Karen Gough from Settlers matching the donations.
