Teenage is­sues the theme for dance per­for­mances

Young dancers from Mar­garet River Se­nior High School wowed au­di­ences with sev­eral per­for­mances at Bun­bury’s an­nual Yoh Fest last week.

Led by teacher Amanda Gradisen, stu­dents from years 7-10 per­formed eight-minute dance rou­tines to the theme Pushed to the Limit.

“The MRSHS pro­duc­tion has been chore­ographed col­lab­o­ra­tively, with the fi­nal prod­uct rep­re­sent­ing a snap­shot of sev­eral focus is­sues in the life of a teenager,” Ms Gradisen said.

The Year 8 troupe fo­cused on the al­lure of so­cial me­dia, while Year 10s looked at the im­por­tance of emo­tional man­age­ment, Year 7s looked at mo­ti­va­tion, while Year 9s fo­cused on recog­nis­ing the power of sleep and its abil­ity to re­ju­ve­nate.

Year 8 dancers were among those shin­ing for Mar­garet River Se­nior High School at Bun­bury's Yoh Fest last week.
