Tim­ber­link Aus­tralia (www. tim­ber­linkaus­tralia.com.au) is a lead­ing ra­di­ata tim­ber prod­ucts man­u­fac­tur­ing busi­ness. The busi­ness has two sawmills at Bell Bay (Tas­ma­nia) and Tarpeena (South Aus­tralia) that man­u­fac­ture Aus­tralian grown plan­ta­tion pine, has sales and dis­tri­bu­tion teams based in Perth, Ade­laide, and Mel­bourne and has a sales team based at the Bell Bay mill. Tim­ber­link Aus­tralia was es­tab­lished by New Forests, an Aus­tralian fund man­ager, to op­er­ate as part of a di­ver­si­fied in­vest­ment port­fo­lio of forestry plan­ta­tions and busi­nesses. The aligned in­ter­est of New Forests’ plan­ta­tion re­sources with Tim­ber­link’s pro­cess­ing ca­pac­ity en­ables the com­pany to have a long term com­mit­ted ap­proach to its busi­ness and cus­tomers. Tim­ber­link Aus­tralia pro­duces fit-for-pur­pose in­door and out­door struc­tural tim­ber for build­ing Aus­tralian new homes and ren­o­va­tion projects, and ex­ports sawn tim­ber to a num­ber of coun­tries in the Asian re­gion. Flight Tim­bers The Flight sawmill site in its cur­rent form has been de­vel­op­ing since the 1950s with all pro­cesses lo­cated on this one site since 2005. Op­er­a­tions in­clude value adding treat­ment and re­man­u­fac­tur­ing plants. Flight Tim­bers cur­rently pro­duces a range of ra­di­ata plan­ta­tion pine prod­ucts in­clud­ing clear grades, fin­ger jointed, fur­ni­ture, fram­ing and in­dus­trial grade tim­ber for pre­dom­i­nantly New Zealand, Aus­tralian and Asian mar­kets.
