Reputation for simplicity and reliability

FOR MORE than a decade, JoeScan has supplied 3-D laser scan heads to sawmill optimization vendors around the world. With their ease of use, stability, 5-year warranty and 10year product support policy, JoeScan scanners have earned a reputation for simplicity and reliability.

JoeScan continuously enhances its scanners while preserving the quality that has remained at the forefront of its technology since Joey Nelson founded the company in 1999. Most recently, JoeScan released the JS-25 X-Series, which includes five models that provide flexibility in scanning solutions – standard and extended-range, wide-angle, and two- or three-laser configurations. The scan heads can be used in a variety of applications, including transverse, lineal, and shortinfeed lineal systems.

With the release of its JS-25 X-Series scan heads, JoeScan more than tripled the scan rate of its previous scanners. The JS-25 X-Series captures up to 850 profiles per second. When scanning moving objects, the faster laser exposure can result in higher accuracy.

What’s next for the company? “I want to continue building JoeScan’s quality culture of engineering solid, reliable products and systems,” says Joey, president and founder of JoeScan. At the same time, he values innovation and creativity. “Balancing innovation with our quality culture is key to JoeScan’s future success,” he explains.
