Elec­tion re­flects con­tin­ued re­gional pres­ence

MAS­TER BUILDERS Queens­land has wel­comed a new Board, and pres­i­dent Ralf Dut­ton from Far North Queens­land. The elec­tion is a re­flec­tion of Mas­ter Builders con­tin­ued re­gional pres­ence, with nine of­fices across Queens­land.

The Board will build on the suc­cesses of the pre­vi­ous Board, with a fo­cus on en­sur­ing a pol­icy agenda that helps sup­port the in­dus­try as the cor­ner­stone of the Queens­land econ­omy.

The Board, which meets monthly, is re­spon­si­ble for the gov­er­nance and strate­gic di­rec­tion of Mas­ter Builders.

In ac­cor­dance with the pro­vi­sions of the Con­sti­tu­tion, the man­age­ment and con­trol of the as­so­ci­a­tion is vested in the Board and elected by the Mas­ter Builders Col­lege ev­ery three years.

Pres­i­dent of the Board is Ralf Dut­ton, who is pro­pri­etor of Value Homes (NQ). Ralf be­gan work as an ar­chi­tec­tural drafts­man while study­ing for his build­ing qual­i­fi­ca­tion and be­came a reg­is­tered builder in 1978. He worked for Bal­lan­tyne Homes from 1979 to 1992, after which he be­gan his first of many suc­cess­ful busi­nesses.

Mr Dut­ton is joined by con­struc­tion chair­man Rod McDon­ald; hous­ing chair­man Ross Hogno; and Board mem­bers Ge­off Bag­u­ley, Drew Brock­hurst, Adrian Gabrielli, Nick Her­ron and Peter Schriek.
