Hyne Timber’s T3 Green Plus delivers treatment revolution

Australasian Timber - - NEWS -

AFTER YEARS of development and scientific testing, Hyne Timber has further enhanced its innovator reputation by successfully achieving what was thought to be unachievable -- T3 Green Plus, the new and improved, water-based, CodeMark certified future of outdoor structural framing.

Hyne Timber’s General Manager, Customers, Peter Hyne, said this new generation H3 treatment formula provided significant benefits to timber users.

“We have listened to our customers and introduced new technology that will exceed expectations in several ways,” Mr Hyne said.

“T3 Green Plus will not only provide improved resistance to termites and fungal attack, but it will also provide the safest and most environmentally friendly H3 softwood product in Australia.

“T3 Green Plus, with its low odour and no VOC treatment formulation, is now also suitable for indoor framing applications, which may be inadvertently exposed to moisture. This includes kitchens, laundries, bathrooms and in particular flood prone structures,” Mr Hyne said.

Further to their internal product controls and guarantee, T3 Green

Plus has already achieved CodeMark certification. This is a third-party audited certification scheme designed and managed by the Australian Building Codes Board (who develop and manage the building codes and standards), and provides Hyne Timber’s customers with a new level of treatment quality assurance.

“As an Australian business, Hyne Timber audits many aspects of our operations, some of which are required legally.

“However, we came to realise that one aspect of our business that is very important to our customers

– our product treatments – had no independent auditing requirements in place.

“We set about changing this in a way that would both hold ourselves accountable and bring peace of mind to our customers,” Mr Hyne said.

“In a time of industry-wide concern over non-compliant products, our CodeMark certification gives Hyne Timber’s customers confidence in the quality and consistency of our T3 Green Plus product treatments that they’re absolutely fit for purpose,” Mr Hyne said.

CodeMark certification is held by a long list of popular and high quality building products as it also supports the introduction of new and innovative solutions.

It follows an extended and rigorous process of evaluation against the products themselves, the manufacturing processes and a demonstration of how manufacturing processes can guarantee continued compliance.

Production of T3 Green Plus started late last year at the Tumbarumba

Mill in NSW with the Tuan Mill in Queensland set to follow soon.

“In a time of industry-wide concern over noncompliant products, our CodeMark certification gives Hyne Timber’s customers confidence in quality and consistency”
