Performance and support keys to continued success

RANDALLS EQUIPMENT Company was appointed the sole distributor for SP Maskiner harvesting heads in Australia in 2012. Since that time the 591 LX G3 debarker has become renowned for its quality and performance in blue gum debarking operations across Southern Australia from Albany to Orbost.

Since the first SP 591 LX head was delivered to G&C Forestry, a total of 50 SP heads have been brought to Australia.

“It’s always a challenge to convince a logger to go away from a brand that he has known and trusted for many years but from my experience when they do and they experience the performance of an SP head and the unmatched customer support provided by Randalls there is no going back. The numbers speak for themselves,” said Davin Frankel of Randalls Equipment Co.

The SP591 LX G3 is proof of what happens when manufacturers listen and collaborate with customers and refine a product to do what it is designed to do at the lowest cost and highest efficiency possible. Anywhere you care to go in the world where Eucalyptus is harvested and debarked in the forest, you will see 591’s dominating the landscape.

“The SP 591 LX G3 is great example of how we have managed to develop products specifically for markets that are both very remote and also very different from what you typically would see in Europe.

“The fact that we have not tried to compromise and develop these products to suit both European and Southern Hemisphere conditions have definitely been the key to our success. By allowing our engineers to travel the world to make them understand the difference in market requirements and conditions has enabled us to design and build some pretty unique products with both brains and brawn,” said Anders Gannerud from SP Maskiner.

SP Maskiner designed and presented the world’s first ever single grip harvester head in back in 1980 and continue to listen to their customers and develop products to suit specific regions in the world.
