TEVA Terra-Float

TEVA, THE WORLD’S most famous outdoor/ adventure sandal brand, has released a new series of footwear (sandals and boots), dubbed Terra-Float. AG Outdoor was lucky enough to receive a sample of the all-new water/outdoor Float sandal before the Christmas break and has subjected it to testing over the past months.

The Float sandal uses Teva’s all-new outsole technology, dubbed Float-Lite, which replaces the company’s Spider Grip tech. Float-Lite allows for a lighter overall sandal that offers fantastic support underfoot. These Float sandals have become a favourite of this tester; the sole of the sandal offers excellent foot support, coutesy of the EVA footbed which supplies the right amount of cushioning. The adjustable webbing is nice and wide so it does not “cut into” your foot during use, and the tri-ring eyelets are tough. Fitting the sandal is easy, of course, but what I was most impressed by was the excellent heel support once the sandal is secured. This support, along with the impressive traction levels that the new Float-Lite outsole provides saw the Floats used for everything from rock hopping on the beach, through to day walks.

For a versatile, waterproof and robust sandal, these Floats make a big statement. – Justin Walker
